Vilcalist (“www.vilcalist.net,“ “we,” “us,” or “our”) welcomes you.

We provide information via email to accepted subscribers subject to the following Terms of Use, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice. By filling out the questionnaire/application page, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated by reference (collectively, this “Agreement”). If you do not agree to any of these terms, then please request to be taken off our subscription list.

Any user who fills out the questionnaire/application and is accepted, is agreeing to the terms of this Agreement.

1. APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE

Vilcalist is under no obligation to accept any individual as a subscriber and may accept or reject any registration in its sole and complete discretion. In addition, Vilcalist may deactivate any account at any time, including, without limitation, if it determines that a subscriber has violated this Agreement.

2. COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Vilcalist, like any community, functions best when its users follow a few simple rules. Upon acceptance, you agree to comply with these community guidelines (the “Community Guidelines”):

  • All communication (ad submissions, questions, etc) must be sent to: info@vilcalist.net
  • It is expressly forbidden to reproduce or forward any part of the „Vilcalist“ Newsletter email (anything from info@vilcalist.net) without our permission. All rights reserved.

3. OUR SERVICE POLICY

What we do:

We deliver emails to our subscribers regarding events and announcements pertaining to the Vilcabamba community (security, meetings, helpful pointers) and sometimes national news pertaining to Ecuador.

We also deliver ads that subscribers may submit regarding:

  • items for sale
  • rentals
  • personal needs
  • special events (concerts, parties, meetings)
  • etc
What we don’t do:
  • Deliver on Sundays
  • Guarantee delivery within 24 hours (although we try)

4. BILLING, PAYMENT & REFUNDS

As of January 1, 2016 a 12-month subscription costs $12. Accepted applicants will be given the option of paying via paypal or cash in person. Annual renewals are NOT automatic. Email reminders will be sent 1 month before the subscription expires reminding subscribers their subscription is coming to a termination and they need to renew. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS (Even if we’re asked by a subscriber to remove them from the list).

5. NO WARRANTIES OR LIABILITY FOR CONTENT

The content of our emails are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties of any kind, such as: the website and email reception will operate error-free or the content is free of computer viruses or similar contamination or destructive features;

We shall not be subject to liability for any delays or interruptions of email reception from whatever cause, and you agree that you use the content at your own risk;

The website and emails may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors or omissions. We are not responsible for any such typographical, technical, or pricing errors listed in the email contents. We reserve the right to make changes, corrections, and/or improvements to the website at any time without notice.

6. TERMINATION OF THE AGREEMENT

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to restrict, suspend, or terminate this Agreement and your access to all or any part of the Websites, at any time and for any reason without prior notice or liability. We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the Websites at any time without prior notice or liability.
